Welcome!

Photographer Marci Weidler
Thanks so much for checking out the Circle of Life Photography blog! I am an on-location portrait photographer specializing in capturing artistic portraits of babies, children and teens. I mainly work in the South-Central PA area, but love to travel too! This is the place for sneak peeks from my latest photography sessions, occasional news and stuff about my life and love of photography. So feel free to grab your favorite beverage, put on your fuzzy socks and stay awhile!

If this is your first visit, then you can find a little more info about me and my work in the links above. (Just a heads-up: sometimes firewalls at workplaces block the images~ so if you can't see them, please email yourself the link and check them out at home.) Check out the Circle of Life Photography page on Facebook here and add it to your page~ you'll be the first to know about blog updates and I'll post additional pics from sessions seen here. If the images you see here resonate with you, please email me at "info 'at' mycirclephotos.com" with questions about sessions or investment~ my availability is very limited and I do pre-session meetings for all portrait sessions, so if you are a first-time client, please call at least four to six weeks ahead of the time you wish to book your child/ren's session.

This isn't my favorite part, but I must mention that copying, scanning, downloading, or in any way reproducing the pictures of Circle of Life Photography (or any photographer) is a violation of federal law. Clients may use images that are watermarked, like the ones on this blog, for their Facebook page. Please respect my work and instead bookmark Circle of Life Photography blog on your browser to refer to whenever you wish! Please email me if you have any questions. Giving Back~ Organizations supported by Circle of Life Photography

In giving back, Circle of Life Photography's main goal is to help those experiencing extreme poverty and nourishing them with food, shelter and spiritual guidance. Education is a big part of helping people learn how to help themselves and change the downward spiral of poverty for a better future for themselves and their children. Locally, a more tangible way of giving back is through using my photography gifts to serve others who are experiencing crisis (see NILMDTS and Pillows of Love.)


Haiti Partners

In 2011-12, Circle of Life Photography makes a $30 monthly donation to the non-profit organization, Haiti Partners, whose goal is to help the people of Haiti move out of poverty through education. I am open to the possibility of a missions trip to assist a Haitian non-profit organization in building awareness of the gravity of this need.


Compassion International~ Haiti's Child Survival Project

In 2011-12, Circle of Life Photography makes a monthly $30 donation to the non-profit organization, Compassion International, whose goal is to change Haiti through the rescue, nuture and discipling of children during the critical early childhood years.


Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation (NILMDTS) gently provides a helping hand and a healing heart for families overcome by the grief and pain of the death of their newborn or infant. Offering gentle and beautiful photography services in a compassionate and sensitive manner is the heart of this organization. The soft, gentle heirloom photographs of these beautiful babies are an important part of the healing process. They allow families to honor and cherish their babies, and share the spirits of their lives. I am an active NILMDTS volunteer photographer for Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Lancaster Women & Babies Hospital.


Pillows of Love

Pillows-of-Love is a ministry that provides beautiful pillowcases and Bibles to women and children who are displaced, in a recovery shelter, a pregnancy center, or an international orphanage. I have served as a volunteer/photographer for their annual fundraising event for the past three years. The event takes place at the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA.


Joni & Friends Family Retreat

I am honored to be a volunteer photographer at the Joni & Friends Family Retreat in the Poconos (Spruce Lake Retreat) for a week each summer (click here for past blog post.) Joni & Friends seeks to serve as a ministry of outreach to people with disabilities and their families across the US and around the world. Families from around the country attend Family Retreats seeking relaxation, encouragement and a time to strengthen their family.


Celebrating Adoption

In 2009-10, several adoptive families received a free portrait session and an assortment of enlargements to celebrate the life that has been granted to them through adoption. Please contact me for more information on future Celebrating Adoption sessions.
